TMR Foods was established in 2019 by Tony and Mandie Rushton. Tony is a well-known fish distributor in Harrogate and has worked in the seafood industry for more than 35 years, building up a strong and dedicated customer base.
TMR Foods was created to supply restaurants, hotels, pubs and local people with high quality seasonal fish and seafood. Tony prides himself on reputation and his advanced product knowledge which means clients can rely on him to deliver the best seasonal produce available.
Tony travels three times per week to source the freshest fish and seafood on the market. This means he can offer customers a fast turnaround, with produce delivered directly to kitchens by lunchtime.
Sustainability is very important to TMR Foods, and wherever possible, fish that is sustainably fished and caught will be purchased. Knowing where to source the best fish is key, and maintaining trusted relationships with key suppliers is a great advantage.
Based in Ripon, TMR Foods are pleased to be able to serve customers in the surrounding areas of Harrogate, Ilkley, Leeds and York.

Tony is joint owner at TMR Foods and has 35 years’ experience in the food industry, working from the bottom of the ladder in a previous seafood business right up to ownership for 19 years. Tony is involved in just about every aspect of the business from buying and selling to preparing and delivering the fish. No working day is the same and when Tony is not sourcing fish, he spends time visiting new and existing clients and forming trusted relationships with them. In his spare time… well, he has no spare time!

Turbot - what can I say? I have exquisite taste!
Mandie is joint owner of TMR Foods and has built up a career running her own business for almost 40 years, so she is very used to long hours and hard work! Within the business, Mandie is involved in just about anything from working back of house, packing boxes, skinning the fish, invoicing and accounts - to name but a few. She calls herself a ‘jack of all trades’ and enjoys the buzz of every day being so different – there is never a dull moment!

Battered Cod - who doesn't love a battered fish?
Tim Jones works as Transport Executive for TMR which involves perfecting the timely delivery of seafood products to customers across Yorkshire. Tim has worked in customer facing roles for years and enjoys the regular interaction he has with clients while out on deliveries. Working as part of a team is one of the things Tim loves best about the job, and the fact that every day is varied. In his spare time, Tim is a keen motorcyclist and enjoys trips out on his bike.

Michael's favourite fish:

Michael works full time for TMR foods and is learning very quickly the in's and outs of the company, supported by his experienced team members. Michael is involved more on the customer facing side of the company, you may see him standing behind a fish counter or delivering fresh fish right to your door step. He plays a big role within our packaging dept, ensuring our products reach our suppliers in superior condition. He loves to keep our brand new Unit nice and tidy. Keeps a track on stock levels making sure we have enough stock for the customers! Michael always tries to put a smile on peoples faces.
